Subrogation Specialist

Work Schedule: M-F 8:00AM - 5:00PM                  







Assist in the handling of subrogation claims. Train in areas of handling subrogation payments, arbitration, and the disposition of salvage.

Essential Functions Statement(s)


  • Pursue subrogation recovery on files assigned by the subrogation supervisor

  • Audit subrogation files as requested

  • Follow up with claims representatives and obtain needed information to pursue subrogation.  Files to be assigned by the subrogation supervisor.

  • Assist in the handling of inter-company arbitration as assigned by the subrogation supervisor.

    • File arbitration applications

    • Monitor billings received from Arbitration Forums Inc. and issue payment on those billings as needed.

  • Train in the handling of subrogation accounts receivable and processing of payments.

  • Become familiar with the handling of subrogation files and the processing of subrogation payments in Guidewire.

  • Be prepared to assist in other matter of subrogation or salvage as requested by the claims department.

  • Miscellaneous tasks as directed.

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)


Some College: Preferred


Experience: No experience required.




Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.


Other Requirements: Participate in industry courses such as AINS, AIC, and/or CPCU.
